Rev. Dr. Ross Purdy

Pastor
Ross had the privilege of growing up in the church community, but Christ became real to him when he was six years old. In his teen years, he came to know Jesus by attending Forest Home Christian Conference Center. Since then he has been a dedicated follower of His!

Ross has been the Pastor of First Presbyterian Church since 2001. His responsibilities are preaching, teaching, and loving people into the kingdom of God. His favorite thing about the church is the tremendous people who love one another and the community.

Rev. K.C. Wahe

Missional Outreach Coordinator
K.C. started following Jesus at a junior high winter camp at Forest Home in the early 80’s. He is the parish associate and one of the pastors as well as the Missional Outreach Coordinator.  He helps Pastor Ross by occasionally preaching on Sunday mornings and with pastoral care duties.  He also provides support to our staff and volunteers to help carry out the various ministries of our church. His passion is local mission and helping our church reach out to those on the fences in coming to faith in Christ and who are outside the walls of the local church.

Kathy Purdy

Director of Children's Ministries
Kathy oversees all children from Nursery-aged through the Sunday School Program (preschool to 5th grade), as well as trains our youth to assist Sunday school teachers in class.  Kathy also oversees Family Ministry, which ranges from Women’s Bible studies to Fall Festival Events, church BBQs and Christmas events such as Bethlehem Village.  Her main goal is to love all children, teach the children about Jesus, His love and about the Bible.

Katy Purdy

Director of Youth Ministries
Katy volunteered in both youth and children's ministry for 15 years before joining First Pres Burbank in 2016 to lead our Middle and High School youth groups.  She is currently pursuing her B.S. in Biblical Ministries at Biola University.  Katy's passion is informing people of all ages, especially teenage students, about the love and grace of Jesus Christ.

Pastor Manny Flores Jr. 

Urban Minister
Pastor Manny Flores is our Urban Minister and serves as a current Elder on our leadership team. He is the Executive Director of North Valley Caring Services in North Hills, CA and the new worshipping community leader of Oikos 4:45. His heart is all about Jesus and the belief God can transform us into who God has called us to be. He's also married to Betty who is a friend and member here at our church and also serves and works for North Valley. For more information about their work with NVCS, visit nvcsinc.org.

Betty Flores 

Urban Minister
Betty is our urban minister,  a friend, and member of our church family and leads what NVCS calls "Colectivo."  Colectivo North Hills is a living classroom where women struggling with homelessness, unemployment, abuse, income instability, can work to overcome barriers to long-term, gainful employment through entrepreneurial training, workforce development, and hands on retail experience. She's also married to Manny and has a heart for Jesus and cares about helping everyone find their purpose for what Christ has called them to do. 

Dave Lessley

Pastoral Associate
Dave Lessley serves as the Pastoral Associate, assisting in worship.  He sings in the Chancel Choir, is convenor of the Keenagers, makes coffee for many occasions and generally assists where needed.  Dave has been a member of this church since 1955 and credits the ministry here with his faith in Jesus Christ.

Dr. Lisa Ham

Director of Music Ministries & Organist
Dr. Lisa Ham oversees the music department, including directing the Chancel Choir, Handbell Choir, and ensembles, as well as playing the organ.  She has been with us at First Presbyterian Church of Burbank since she moved to California in 2004 and also participates in other musical outlets.  Lisa lives with her husband, two sons, and two dogs in Rancho Cucamonga.

Tim Black

Church Administrator
Tim has been a part of the First Pres Burbank administration since 2015. As Church Administrator, he manages the church property and finances.  When he's not at the church, you'll find him studying toward his Master of Arts in Theology at Fuller Theological Seminary, or following the Dodgers.

Niki Rodas

Church Communications Coordinator
Niki Rodas serves as our Church Communication Coordinator, heading up the church office operations and the various forms of communication and outreach for BurbankPres. Originally from Michigan, Niki has a B.A. from Kalamazoo College and a Masters of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary.  She is certified ready-for-a-call in the ordination process.  She and her husband, Al, have two boys.  Niki has a great love for reading, tea, fireplaces, chocolate, ice cream, and popcorn.
